USTR Extends 352 Expired Exclusions From Section 301 Tariffs on China

USTR Extends 352 Expired Exclusions From Section 301 Tariffs on China

The U.S Trade Representative (USTR) announced March 23, 2022, the reinstatement of 352 exclusions to the Section 301 tariffs on Chinese products.

The Federal Register notice provides the list of tariffs affected. This action is in response to the request for public comment by the USTR in November 2021 regarding the possible extension of previously expired exclusions. The Section 301 tariff exclusions include 89 on List 1, 34 on List 2, 187 on List 3 and 42 on List 4.

Most exclusions expired at the end of 2020, but some were extended thru the beginning of 2021.  The reinstated exclusions are retroactive to imports from October 12, 2021 and extend to December 31, 2022. Duty refunds are eligible via Post Summary Correction or Protest.
